Meet Nancy Williams
M.A., LPC, LCDC

Counseling for Individuals and Couples.

It starts with courage.

Reaching out for therapy can be scary, it probably feels very intimidating. Especially the first time. I have benefitted from therapy myself so I understand how you feel and applaud you for looking for a therapist that is right for you.

It is important to me that you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process, so I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment to work through life’s difficulties.

I offer a complementary 15-minute consultation to help you decide if my approach is right for you. If you choose to move forward, I will help you set your first appointment and give you all the information you need to complete the intake forms and be ready when we meet whether that is virtually or in person at my office.

I believe our world is seen and lived through the lens of our prior experiences.

You may be feeling the effects of a single traumatic incident, or you may be struggling with the weight of years of hurtful events. When we experience suffering, we can feel like it becomes part of our identity which then affects every area of our lives.

We don’t have to live this way, healing is possible.

How I can help.

I work collaboratively with each client in addressing their specific needs and mapping out the best steps for their journey.

I use research-based techniques along with creative and integrative thinking to offer therapy tailored to the uniqueness of each client.

I am integrative and experiential in my approach to therapy utilizing Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS) and expressive arts among my tools.

So, if you are wanting help with anxiety or depression, finding a way to work through difficult life events, navigate challenging relationships or just finding the next steps on your path, I invite you to take the first step in your journey of healing and schedule a session today. I look forward to meeting you.

Does it take work? Absolutely.

Is it worth it? Yes, it can be one of the best investments you ever make in yourself.

About Me

I worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 15 years prior to becoming a stay-at-home Mom of twins. During this time away from professional life, I was an active volunteer with my church and children’s school and was a substitute teacher.

I have always had a passion for serving others so when I was ready to return to work outside the home, I decided to make a career change that would allow me to help people on a more personal level.

With the support of my family, I returned to school and began to pursue a career in the counseling field. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling completing my graduate level internship at a residential inpatient treatment facility where I earned the credential of LCDC.

What do I do when I’m not doing therapy?

I have been married for 22 years and have teenage twins.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and dog. I also enjoy reading, crochet, gardening, and a good cup of coffee.

Most Friday nights I can be found at a high school sporting event cheering on my favorite athletes, my kids.
